Growing up, my fondest memories revolve around holidaying in campervans. Rainy days were my favorite—playing cards inside our cozy Auto Sleeper, listening to Santana on the cassette player, and savoring strawberry Nesquick while the rain pattered on the roof.
Fast forward to 2020, and I decided to turn my childhood dream into reality. With a baby and a full-time job, custom-building a van wasn't feasible, so I turned to Jamie from Trek Vans to design and build our dream layout.
We wanted a layout that offered ample space on rainy days, a cozy spot for our French bulldog Steven, and a safe sleeping area for our daughter. Thus, we created a bunk system above the fridge, complete with our super comfortable floating bed.
After braving chilly winter nights, we installed a heater, ensuring Stan stays toasty warm during beach trips and dips. Plus, Stan boasts a large wooden table, a portable toilet, and a projector screen for unforgettable movie nights.
